For some women, a trip to the hair salon is not just about getting that new cut or a good wash. It is about that connection too. There is just something we cannot explain about the bond we have with our hairdressers. Am I right ladies?
They do not just have the right touch to turn a messy hair into a chic style, but they are one of the best listeners, and this is a fact that many women will agree with.
Hairdressers tend to become our trusted friends and even advisors. In a day, they hear many stories of love, pain, good news and even heartbreaks.
Tucked away on the quiet island of La Digue is the Streams of Joy Hair Salon. In my opinion, the name is perfect as it reflects the owner’s warmth, gentleness and kind nature.
My friend Jeva Pool, who also hails from La Digue, introduced me to Flossy Bibi, the woman at the helm of it all at the salon. Many people are for some reason scared to be interviewed, but not Flossy. She was excited and even with her busy schedule, she found time for the chat.
