Authorities investigate fire incident at Laxmanbhai workers camp and storage |28 March 2025

The Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services Agency and the Seychelles Police are carrying an investigation into a fire that broke out at the Laxmanbhai workers camp and storage facility on Ile du Port on Wednesday evening.

The fire was reported at approximately 11:23pm and the Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services Agency (SFRSA) initially responded with three fire engines and 12 fire officers. According to the agency’s Assistant Divisional Officer and Public Relations Officer Terrence Arnephy, it took one hour to contain the fire.
