Nanon’s hat-trick sinks league leaders Bel Ombre
After having been reduced to 10 men, league leaders Bel Ombre suffered their second and biggest defeat of the season in a surprise 1-4 loss to Rangers with a hat-trick from Andriano Nanon.
Bel Ombre were at the finish line with a few fixtures left in their schedule but with Anse Royale on their tails, they needed just a few more points before their promotion was confirmed.
On Tuesday evening they approached a Rangers side who they had previously defeated with 10 men in a match that had warned them of their opponents’ calibre.
Bel Ombre opened the brighter side, focussed against the press of Rangers’ many hard workers, and a few early chances befell of Bel Ombre’s offence but a lack of finishing left the score level.
