Call for nominations for Seychelles’ third National Awards |25 March 2025

The National Awards Committee has officially opened nominations for the third National Awards, an initiative that recognises outstanding Seychellois for their extraordinary contributions to the nation.

Chairperson of the committee, Robert Grandcourt, made the announcement during a press conference yesterday. He emphasised the importance of acknowledging individuals who dedicate themselves to the betterment of Seychelles.

“There are many people in Seychelles who are doing good for our country. This is one of the ways to recognise them, and for the country to convey to them that we are proud of them, and that we appreciate them and what they do for our citizens,” Mr Grandcourt stated.

The committee is pleased with the overwhelming response in the past two awards, having received around 250 nominations. However, they acknowledge that there are still many more Seychellois who deserve recognition. Past nominations will also be considered along with new ones for this year’s awards.
