Mayor’s Office spearheads Victoria clean-up campaign |13 March 2025

The Office of the Mayor of Victoria is spearheading a clean-up campaign this coming weekend in the country’s capital, focusing mainly in the Market Street area
Speaking to local media yesterday afternoon, acting Mayor Lydia Charlie said the two-day event on March 15 and 16, is to ensure the well-frequented place remains a conducive environment for shoppers and business owners.
“As many of you may have noticed, there are ongoing activities in Victoria that generate waste, which in return attract rodents. These are not in line with what we would like to see,” said Mrs Charlie. According to her the situation was observed shortly after vendors set up illegal stands in the area.
