New water pipe system for farms in Amitié on Praslin |07 March 2025

Praslinois farmers, precisely in the Amitié area, will soon benefit from a new water pipe system to ease the irrigation process, Minister for Agriculture, Climate Change and Environment, Flavien Joubert, has said, following a visit on Praslin yesterday to assess the water situation in the Amitié region and discuss solutions.

He was accompanied on his visit by principal secretary for agriculture, Keven Nancy; chief executive of the Seychelles Land Transport Agency (SLTA), Parinda Herath; representatives of the agriculture and environment departments, the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC) and the Seychelles Infrastructure Agency (SIA).
