By Sunny Esparon
Twelve Seychellois families yesterday received the keys to their new homes at the new Vista Heights Village, Glacis Housing Estate, built under the theme ‘peace and harmony’.
It was President Wavel Ramkalawan and the Minister for Land and Housing, Billy Rangasamy, who had the honour to unveil the commemorative plaque to officially inaugurate the new housing estate.
The housing estate consists of 12 two-bedroom units, designated parking spaces for tenants, a multi-purpose court, and a playground covering an area of 150 square metres.
The project – which began in September 2023 and was completed in December 2024 – was carried out by Dubai Civil Engineering, funded by the Qatar Fund and the government of Seychelles at a cost of R11.8 million.
