In a groundbreaking approach to environmental conservation, drones are now playing a critical role in monitoring and preserving Seychelles’ wetland ecosystems.
Through the LEAP Project, drones are being used to survey and assess the health of key wetland sites, allowing conservationists to track changes and respond effectively to environmental threats.
Marlene Bauer and Anna Bischof, master's students from the University of Würzburg in Germany, have been at the forefront of this initiative, working with Nature Seychelles to implement drone technology in wetland conservation efforts.
