“The Ministry of Fisheries and the Blue Economy has closed yet another successful year, having achieved most of its targets set out four years ago.

“In the areas of fisheries management, we have given priority to educating our fishermen to good and sustainable practices, rather than adopting a heavy-handed punishment approach. We are dealing with a special group of people who will take time to adopt new practices.
