Vinsent Perera was officially sworn in as the country’s new Attorney General in a ceremony held at State House yesterday morning.
Mr Perera, who is from Sri Lanka, took his Oath of Allegiance to the Constitution and the Official Oath before President Wavel Ramkalawan in the presence of several high officials including Vice-President Ahmed Afif; Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Rony Govinden; President of the Court of Appeal, Anthony Fernando; the deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Honourable Gervais Henrie; and Principal Minister, Jean-François Ferrari, among other invitees.
