New regulations aim to boost child protection

A new set of regulations aimed at enhancing child protection measures in Seychelles are set to come into force in January 2025.

The Children (Working with Children Suitability Check) Regulations 2024 will formalise and expand on the existing suitability check system introduced by the Social Affairs department in 2018, to vet all individuals working with children.
