Suspected pirates taken into custody in Seychelles |15 May 2024

Five suspected pirates arrived in Seychelles last night on board a European Union warship for possible prosecution.

The five men disembarked from P86 – CANARIAS at 10.45pm, which docked at 9pm, and were taken into custody by the Seychelles Police.

According to an online source, they were captured following an incident in the Gulf of Aden last Friday, now classified as a pirate attack by the European Union Naval Force’s (EUNAVFOR) Operation ATALANTA.
