Janosh Moncherry to compete at indoor world championships
Sprinter Janosh Moncherry will be rubbing shoulders with the sport’s elites early next month when he competes at the 19th World Athletics Indoor Championships which will take place from March 1-3 at the Commonwealth Arena in Glasgow, United Kingdom.
Moncherry, who will compete in the 60m event, will be accompanied by coach Giovanni Fanny.
The 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championships will be the 19th international indoor track and field competition organised by the World Athletics.
It will be the third time, after Birmingham 2003 and 2018, that the World Indoor Championships will be held in this country, and the first time in Scotland. Glasgow hosted the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1990 and 2019, and as in the latter, the competitions will again take place at the Commonwealth Arena.
The event will come five months before the 2024 Paris Olympics and will be part of the qualification process for these Games.
