Following thorough deliberations, the selection committee for the Sports Awards of the Year 2023 selection committee has revealed the names of the 30 finalists in both male and female senior categories, as well the young male and female divisions.
For the 2023 awards, sports federations and associations had the opportunity to nominate five athletes in order of preference – one to five – in the senior male and female categories. In the young male and female categories, sports federations and associations were allowed to nominate three athletes – one to three.
It is was on January 31 that the nominees were shortlisted to 10 finalists in the senior male and female categories, while in the young athletes categories, there are five finalists in both the male and female classes.
