London bar hosts fundraising activity for December 7 disasters   |09 February 2024

A fundraising night was held at McCafferty’s Bar Crouch End in London, to help support people affected by the explosion and flooding disasters in Seychelles on December 7, 2023.

Grenville Ignatius together with Jeanine Laporte decided to host a fundraising event with all the funds donated being paid directly to the Red Cross Society of Seychelles.

Thanks to the generous prizes donated by At Sea Bar and Restaurant and Happy Youth Club, who together with McCafferty’s Bar and the Seychelles community in North London raised £500.

Several families were displaced as a result of the two disasters, with some still living in temporary shelters, while others are trying to rebuild their homes.
