Foresters lead standings with a single goal difference
Things are heating up in the Seychelles Football Federation Premier League, with a single goal difference separating leaders and defending champions Foresters and second-placed St Louis.
Both teams are presently on 20 points collected from six wins, two draws and two defeats out of 10 matches played.
Having scored 23 goals while conceding 14, Foresters have a slight superior goal difference – nine – compared to St Louis who boast the same statistics, but have an inferior one-goal difference – eight – after scoring 22 and conceding 14.
In their last league match last Thursday, Foresters beat Northern Dynamo 5-2, while goals from Justin Riaze, Darian Hoareau and Tahiry Andriamandimby gave St Louis a 3-1 win over St Michel in their last match on Friday.
La Digue side La Passe are presently third, also on 20 points, but with a match in hand over the top two sides.
La Passe have so far collected six wins, two draws and one defeat out of nine matches played.
Praslin side LightStars are fourth overall on 17 points from five victories, two defeats and two draws from nine matches played, ahead of St Michel who are occupying the fifth overall spot on 13 points after registering four wins, one draw and five defeats out of 10 matches contested so far in the league.
Côte d’Or are presently sixth on 12 points from three wins, three defeats, and three draws out of nine matches played, ahead of PTL Bazar Brothers who are seventh overall on nine points after two wins, three draws and five defeats.
On eight points after a single win, five draws and four defeats from 10 matches played, Defence Forces FC are presently eighth overall, ahead of Anse Reunion who have so far collected seven points from two wins, a draw and seven defeats from 10 matches contested.
Also on seven points, Northern Dynamo are carrying the weight of the league table after registering two wins, a draw and six defeats from nine matches played.
