32nd commemorative Sangabhishegam ceremony today
A small (Mutt) house providing Hindu faith in the olden days of this paradise, at that time no one expected its growth and that it was going to be one of the tourism heritages in the paradise; it’s all the blessing of Sri Navasakthi Vinayagar, the Seychelles Hindu Kovil Sangam started in the year of 4th July 1984, slowly it was developed and build the temple in our paradise with the help of Seychelles community.
Now it is one of the cultural and tourism heritages which is witnessing the Hindu culture in the paradise since more than five decades, Seychelles Hindu Temple going to celebrate its 32nd Commemorative function on 22nd January 2024.
Though the temple is a mark of religious and tradition of Hindu faith, however it shows remarkable cultural diversity, peace and love towards the paradise where it is.
In 6th May’ 1992, the first consecration function (Kumbabishegam) which was celebrated, since then every year the Seychelles Hindu Kovil Sangam celebrates the commemoration based on its Tamil calendar, so, the 22nd January 2024, will be its 32nd Commemorative function. To witness the event, His Excellency High Commissioner of India will be the guest of honor on thatevent.
In this function, there will be special pooja from 21st January 2024 evening to 22nd January 2024 afternoon. Followed by a sandal decoration to Lord Navasakthi Vinayagar and there will be procession in the inner courtyard 6.30 pm onwards.
After the first consecration ceremony that is 1992, the second one which was held on 20th January2008 with its seven story Raja Gopuram, now it is one of the cultural and tourism heritages in our paradise, which tells the tradition, south Indian architecture, art, and bilateral relations of Seychelles with India.
It is a remarkable development of Hindu faith in the paradise through the Seychelles Hindu Temple, with the help of community and business professionals. The SHKSassociation planning its 3rdconsecration (Kumbabishegam) ceremony soon which will add another jewel on the crown of Seychelles Hindu Temple
The Seychelles Hindu Kovil Sangam invites all to participate in the ceremony and to get the blessings from Lord Navasakthi Vinayagar.
