In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the Seychelles Padel Society has extended its padelversary celebration beyond the tournament by hosting a training session for students across Mahé yesterday morning at the Labriz Gastro Lounge.

World number one padel player Beatriz González Fernández and María Del Carmen Villalba Sánchez who is ranked 45th as well as the coaches took part in a coaching session for youngsters yesterday. This community-focused initiative is aimed at introducing the youth to the fundamentals of padel, fostering not only a love for the sport but also inspiring an active lifestyle and instilling the values of sportsmanship.

The padel facility based at the Hilton Labriz Gastrolounge at Bel Ombre, inaugurated last year, is an initiative of the Seychelles Padel Society, a local body with the desire to introduce the rising discipline in Seychelles and engage the local community around the values of sport. The court is the second to be inaugurated in the country, following the opening of the very first padel court on Silhouette Island in February 2022 at the Hilton Seychelles Labriz.
