Hockey: Level One Coaching Course |02 December 2023
SHF welcomes 12 new Level One coaches
Twelve new coaches are now qualified to instruct hockey, after successfully completing their Level One training programme, held during the week at the Olympic House, Roche Caïman.
The Level One coaching course was by the Seychelles Hockey Federation (SHF), with the help of the Seychelles Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (Socga).
The one-week training was being conducted by technical director and International Hockey Federation (FIH) academy educator Maggid Abu-Talib.
It is part of the SHF’s endeavour to disseminate and promote the sport of hockey locally, especially at grassroots level.
The 12 coaches – all Physical Education teachers – received their certificates during a ceremony held yesterday at the Olympic House, in the presence of Socga president Antonio Gopal, secretary general Alain Alcindor, chairman of the Seychelles Hockey Federation (SHF) Georges Sicobo, and acting director for competitive sports within the National Sports Council (NSC) Steve Hoareau.
The newly qualified Level One coaches are Deelan Tambarra, Mandy Joubert, Ricardo Suzette, Stephen Romain, Jovanie Dodin, Simon Lagrenade, Lissa Labiche, Michel Camille, Praktima Radegonde, Christian Mahoune, Augustin Francourt, and Brigitte Cesar.
