Six medals for Team Seychelles at the 26th Gulf short course meet

The young local swimmers who competed at the 26th Speedo Invitational Short Course Meet 2023 at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Sports Complex in Dubai, United Arab Emirates between November 25-26 have won a total of six medals – two gold, two silver and two bronze.

The gold medals came courtesy of Amos Ferley (100m freestyle) and Tyron Marie (200m butterfly).

Ferley also won two silver medals (50m freestyle and 50m backstroke).

The bronze medals came from Lihandro Pierre (200m butterfly) and Marie in 100m butterfly.

In total, Seychelles was being represented at the competition by 10 swimmers, including Nathan Nagapin, Frederick Gappy (handisport), Kian Rosalie, Dwight Bamboche, Daqurenn Servina, Dorianne Bristol and Keira Berlouis who were being accompanied by coaches Robert Suzette and Lanndro Berlouis, while Tania Marie was the team’s chaperon.
