Ticket number 002800 wins the star prize

Ticket number 002800 is the lucky winner of the Cable and Wireless 130th Anniversary Grand Lottery with a BMW lX3 as the star prize.

 The much awaited draw was held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Cable and Wireless showroom, Victoria.

The first prize of a one-year Unlimited Broadband Package 2099 went to Ticket number 141202, while the second prize, two return tickets to Dubai, was won by ticket number 002330.

The draw, which took place in front of a small audience, had a total of seven prizes, including the star prizes.  

To ensure transparency, the draw was carried out in the presence of representatives of the Seychelles Licensing Authority (SLA) and the Seychelles Police who witnessed the manual drawing of ticket numbers by the blinded CWS staff members.

During the draw for the last prize, the SLA officer gave permission for the staff members to change positions as the numbers that kept coming up did not provide a clear winner, until finally, three hours later, around 6.30 pm, ticket number 010100, won the prize.

The winners will receive their prizes on Saturday during a special ceremony at the Moloko Restaurant.
