Cable & Wireless Seychelles hosts Media Open Day as part of 130th anniversary
Members of the media reported to Cable and Wireless Seychelles (CWS) recently for an informative and interactive morning that took them through the company’s commercial and technical operations.
Journalists, members of the production, and film crews were greeted by friendly representatives of various departments within the telecommunications company for the open day that took place at the CWS head office.
Participants had the opportunity to learn about different aspects of the technical and commercial teams, where members from Consumer and Business Operations, as well as Products and Services, Consumer Market, and Roaming representatives, were present to guide attendees through the inner workings of Cable and Wireless Seychelles.
Media members were provided with an exclusive opportunity to gain insights into the multiple devices used to connect customers on a daily basis. In addition, attendees were given tutorials and a sneak peek of the exciting billing upgrade which is about to launch, in order to familiarise themselves with the new system.
Hence, the platform provided a unique opportunity to ask questions and discuss various topics to enhance their knowledge of the company and gain an overview of available products by engaging with key experts at CWS.
Jean Hassan, director of marketing at Cable and Wireless Seychelles, said that this experience was crucial because “Welcoming the media to our premises is a great opportunity to show the faces behind the company. As part of our 130th anniversary, we wanted to open our doors and give a deeper insight into our processes. It also serves as a sign of our appreciation to the media, who have supported and grown with us over the years”.
This anniversary has presented the perfect occasion for Cable and Wireless to reflect on all the connections founded along the way and recognise those who have been a part of this journey in one way or another.
