Demolition work under way at Le Chantier mall |03 October 2023

Seychelles NATION has observed that demolition work is under way at Le Chantier mall, two years after a fire partially destroyed the building.

It was housing several government and private offices.

The fire on October 15, 2021 mostly affected an extension of the building, which was being turned into a nightclub. Since then, the tenants had to vacate the premises and the building had been vacant since.

Seychelles NATION was unable to get additional information about the ongoing work at the time of going to press.
