DBS hosts family sports day
As part of activities to celebrate 45 years of loyal service to the people, the Development Bank of Seychelles recently hosted a family sports day, bringing employees and their families together for fun, while also promoting the value of physical activities.
The event which took place at the Beach Soccer Arena at Roche Caïman started with a 30-minute warm-up, before those taking part were divided into three groups – White, Blue and Yellow – to compete in beach volleyball, beach soccer, obstacle races, and other light games.
As for the youngsters, they had had the opportunity to enjoy themselves in the baby gym and other activities such as face painting and henna tattoos organsed for them.
They, too, competed in a variety of field events, including relays, obstacle races, and egg and spoon races.
Despite the wet weather, the participation in the event was more than expected, with everyone eager to compete and have a good time.
The arena was crowded with fans cheering for their co-workers and families, while team Payanke (in white) emerged as the best.
