BE KIND Advocate for the Animals launches educational programmes in schools

BE KIND Advocate for the Animals has launched a comprehensive educational programme aimed at promoting responsible pet ownership and raising awareness about the urgent need to address the growing issue of stray animal overpopulation.

The programme seeks to instill compassion and empathy for animals while fostering a sense of collective responsibility among students.

With an alarming increase in stray animals and a lack of proper care, the Seychelles community faces a critical challenge.

BE KIND Advocate for the Animals recognises the importance of educating the younger generation to become compassionate stewards of our four-legged friends and take action to alleviate their suffering as well as promoting sterilisation for all pets.

The educational programmes, which have already gained momentum in local schools, are designed to engage students of all ages. Through captivating presentations, interactive discussions, and heartwarming real-life stories, students are educated on the significance of treating animals with respect and empathy. The programmes also shed light on the adverse consequences of the overpopulation of strays and emphasised```` the vital role each person can play in making a positive impact.

Lucky, the beloved stray rescued during BE KIND's march in April, has become the face of the educational initiative. Lucky's presence in schools serves as a tangible example of the transformative power of care and love. Through heartwarming interactions with Lucky, students experience firsthand the joy of nurturing and protecting animals.

BE KIND Advocate for the Animals envisions a brighter future where animals are treated with kindness and respect. By reaching out to young minds, the organisation believes that lasting change can be fostered, and a more compassionate society can be nurtured.

"We firmly believe that education is the cornerstone of change," said Nicole Saint-Ange, chairperson of BE KIND Advocate for the Animals. "Our programmes not only teach responsible pet ownership but also inspire students to become advocates for animal rights. By working together, we can create a society where animals are valued and protected."

As the programme gains momentum, BE KIND Advocate for the Animals encourages other organisations, schools, and individuals to join the cause. By collaborating, the impact can be multiplied, and the message of compassion and responsible pet ownership can reach far and wide.

BE KIND Advocate for the Animals is a passionate advocate for animal rights and welfare in Seychelles. The organisation is dedicated to promoting responsible pet ownership, addressing the challenges of stray animal overpopulation, and fostering a culture of compassion and empathy towards animals. Through various initiatives, BE KIND Advocate for the Animals seeks to create a positive change in the lives of animals and the community as a whole.
