Shain Boniface, Adrian Volcère reach final

Team Seychelles have already guaranteed two more silver medals in boxing, but the fighters will definitely go for gold after pugilists Shain Boniface and Praslinois Adrian Volcère qualified for the finals, following victories in their semifinal bouts yesterday.

In the 67kg category, Boniface defeated Malagasy Velomarompinanoa on points by unanimous decision, while Volcère, who fights in the 76kg category, stopped Malagasy Eric Mbake by RSC (referee stopped contest).

Two other Seychellois fighters were in action yesterday, namely Fabio Roselie who lost his 57kg bout against Ali Maoulana of Reunion on points, and Mohamed William who also lost on points against Mohamed Radjay of the Comoros.

The boxing competition continues today.
