Diageo Africa president inaugurates refurbished staff facilities at SBL |28 August 2023
During his two-day visit to Seychelles Breweries Limited, the president for Diageo Africa, Dayalan Nayager inaugurated the refurbished staff facilities to the value of R3.5 million.
The refurbishment works included a revamped conference area, kitchen area, changing facilities for both male and female employees and new locker rooms.
This project was initiated after proposals from the joint consultative committee (JCC) to the management of Seychelles Breweries. The JCC is an internal platform comprising both employees and management members to discuss and provide solutions to issues impacting staff.
Speaking after the inauguration of the canteen, the managing director of the Africa Emerging Markets within Diageo, Andrew Ross, who was also accompanying the Diageo Africa president on his market visit to Seychelles, told SBL employees that the transformation that has been made to the facilities reflects the transformation that has taken place overall in the business.
For her part, the chairperson of the JCC, Alison Elizabeth thanked the company for having implemented the project and added that all SBL employees were very pleased with the result, noting that the previous facilities had undergone a complete makeover.
She urged her fellow employees to make good use of the facilities and to keep it always clean.
