Wilson Nancy new chairman of Real Maldive Football Club   |26 August 2023

Wilson Nancy is the new chairman of the Real Maldive Football Club, succeeding Felix Désir who is now the club’s honorary president.

The changes were effected during the club’s annual general meeting held on Saturday August 19, 2023 at the Anse Etoile community centre.

During the general meeting, outgoing chairman Felix desire thanked all those present for their support since the creation of the club in 2013. He was also instated unanimously as the honorary president of the club during the general meeting for the services he has rendered.

Other members also shared their reports to those present. Those included the coaches’ report, kit manager’s report, fundraising report, manager’s report and treasurer’s report. The meeting resolved unanimously to adopt the contents of the reports presented.

As per the club’s constitution, the general meeting resolved to elect a new executive committee to oversee the function of the football club for the next two (2) years.

The newly appointed executive committee members are: Wilson Nancy (chairman), Henry Gamatis (vice chairman), Terrence Crea (secretary), Faviola Sanders (treasurer), David Berlouis (manager), Darren Payet (players’ representative), Antoinette Annacoura (ordinary member), Florette Desir (ordinary member), and Deborah Fanchette (ordinary member).

Additionally, the general meeting also approved to adopt a new logo for the club.
