Lions Club of Seychelles gets new board of directors |02 August 2023

For the Lionistic year 2023-2024, a new board of directors has been installed by the Lions Club of Seychelles.

The Lions Club of Seychelles (LCS) also inducted seven new members for the Lionistic year 2023-2024. Dhana Sasi Kumar was inducted as the zone chair and the board members are Vijay Pandya, Dr Sasi Kumar, Anil Kumar Singh, Dharam Vir Sharma, Hemma Pillay, Rajesh Pandya, Suresh Babu, Reggie Jayasena and Ramu Pillay.

The region chairperson from the Melvin Jones fellowship - Lions Club Dr Kanagappah Vivekanandan was also inducted.

LCS also received various awards for the year 2022-2023 and those include: overall best club champion  of service in the District 411 A; champion of service award for the disabled - Lion Dr Sasi Kumar; champion of service for Vision - Lion Suresh Babu; champion of service for hunger - Lion Abulkalam Azad; best zone chair champion award - Lion Dharam Vir Sharma; best region chair champion award - Lion Karpagam Senthil Kumar; champion of service for media and publicity – LCS; champion of service for literacy – LCS; best club award for disabled – LCS.

The new office bearers for the Lionistic year 2023-2024 are Vijay Pandya, president; Hemma Pillay, secretary LCS; Anil Kumar Singh, treasurer; PP Reggie Jayasena - membership director; Suresh Babu - first vice-president LCS; Aline Payet - second vice-president LCS; Rajesh Pandya - third vice-president LCS; Dr Sasi Kumar - club service chairperson LCS; Dharamvir Sharma- club marketing and communications LCS; Ramu Pillay - club director LCS and Rajesh Pandya - Club director LCS.

During the induction night, the LCS of Seychelles renewed its wish to keep serving the community and to bring hope to the community through its various actions.
