Local judokas on South Africa training camp
As part of the preparations for the upcoming IXes Jeux de la Francophonie scheduled to take place in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo from July 28 to August 6, and the 11th Indian Ocean Island Games (IOIG) to held in Madagascar from August 25 to September 3, the national judo selection left the country yesterday to attend a training camp in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The camp is part of an agreement between the Seychelles Judo Federation (SJF) and the South African Judo Federation.
The male athletes who have made the trip are Rachille Marie, Dyllan Bonnelame (60kg), Martin Michel, Rovanie Pillay (66kg), Jamison Dick, Neddy Philoé, Keith Larue (73kg), Derrick Croisée, Ruben Edmond (81kg), Nanthenaina Finesse, Freddie Young (90kg), Richard Meriton, Alexander Quilindo (-100kg), Dominic Dugasse, Lionel Savy, Alvin Marie (+100kg)
The female judokas are Paris Lozé, Kendra Vital (48kg), Eisha Bellard (52kg), Fredah Rose (57kg), Murella Créa (63kg), Quessy Mootooveeren (70kg), Cheryl Marie (73kg), Amanda Payet and Tamia Lucas (+78kg).
They are being accompanied by coaches Naddy Jeanne, Germain Rose and Calix Cesar, along with official Marie-Annette Vidot, while Aselma Pilate is the team manager.
Roland Duval
