NARS elects new executive committee for 2023-2024 |03 May 2023
The Nurses Association of the Republic of Seychelles (NARS) has elected the new office bearers and ten ordinary members of the executive committee for the next two years, in accordance with its constitution.
This was through an extraordinary meeting on April 27, 2023 at the Sheikh Kalifa conference room of the Ministry of Health.
The office bearers include Rosie Bistoquet who was re-elected as the chairperson, and Peggy Azemia who was re-elected as the treasurer. June Jean is the secretary. The ordinary members are Rita Jean, Marie- Helene Niole, Elsia Sinon, Bernice Volcy, Greg Vadivello, Kenneth Barreau, Julie Servina, Sylvie Bellard, Rhonda Burka and Gina Laporte.
The new committee comprises members from the public, private sectors and different nursing scopes of practice and will further bring common voices to the nurses practising in Seychelles.
In a press communique, the new executive committee of the Nurses Association has thanked all the members for their trust put into the association and said it hopes to bring the nursing profession, quality nursing care, and services to greater heights, throughout the two-year mandate.
The executive committee also expressed its gratitude to the Citizens Democracy Watch (Seychelles) – CDWS - for demonstrating excellent transparency as presiding officers, throughout the election.
