‘Bravo’ welcomes teens to have a unique experience |05 April 2023

Bravo Restaurant welcomed a group of 11 teens last Saturday to first discover how the restaurant functions and secondly to be their own chef and make their own pizza.

It was a unique experience for the teenagers who came from Bougainville, Roche Bois, Sans Soucis, Roche Caïman, Bel Ombre, Beau Vallon and La Retraite.

At 10am sharp the teenagers were welcomed by Daniel Simeon, manager at Bravo, who shared the history of the restaurant. They then toured the facility which includes the dining area, the sushi bar and the kitchen. They were welcomed by the staff of Bravo.

After wearing their head cover and cleaning their hands, they were then invited to make their own pizza under the watchful eyes of a chef.

Some seized the opportunity to cover their pizza with cheese and for some pineapple on their pizzas were not an option!

Then the chef placed their creations in the oven and after ten minutes their pizzas were ready!

While savouring their own pizza, they were able to hear from one chef and a waiter who have been working for the restaurant for a long time. They both encouraged the teens to be serious and stay focused in their lives if they want to succeed in life.

The teens were happy with this tour and shared that they learnt a few lessons while visiting the restaurant, talking to the staff and making their own food.

The teenagers are part of the Junior Youth Empowerment Programme where they enhance their power of expression, sharpening their spiritual perception, analysing the constructive and destructive forces of society and changing their surroundings through the service projects.

Some of the projects they did were visits to struggling families, visit to the President’s Village, donations to the earthquake victims of Turkey among others.

Mr Simeon added that “We have been treating children from different organisations and we are happy to see a group of young people who are helping others and their efforts did not go without recompense. Today Bravo treated them and we wish them all the best for their future activities”.
