 Aldabra Kings crowned champions

Aldabra Kings have won the final of the Seychelles Cricket Association 50 overs championship 2022-2023.

They played the Moyenne Monsters in the final of the tournament at the Persévérance cricket field. Winning the toss, Moyenne Monsters opted to field first and Aldabra Kings scored 185 runs in 38 overs. Harsha (64), Rajitha (27), Kavinda (20) of Aldabra were among their best batsmen and Deepak Radharishnan (4 wickets), Sachin Kunder (3 wickets) were among the best of Moyenne Monsters’ bowlers.

While chasing the target of 186 runs, Moyenne Monsters lost their wickets early and bowler Niroshan of Aldabra Kings stroke hard and went on to remove seven of Moyenne Monsters’ batsmen and Lithira picked up 2 wickets which restricted Moyenne Monsters to a maximum score of 59 runs.

The prize-giving ceremony was done by Seychelles Cricket Association chairman Kaushal Patel and members of the association to the best players.

The best bowler of the tournament was Niroshan for grabbing 19 wickets; best batsmen Harsha for scoring 107 runs; player-of-the-match Niroshan for grabbing 7 wickets in the final; player of the tournament Niroshan as most valuable player; tournament runners-up Moyenne Monsters and tournament winners Aldabra Kings.
