Anisa Rose to launch Microblading Services following training with international expert

Local, celebrity makeup artist, Anisa Rose, will be launching new services in early 2020, following recent training in Nano Microblading with an international expert, as well as her certification in Eyelash Extension from the London Beauty Academy.

In the following interview with Seychelles NATION, she shares her knowledge about Nano Microblading, including its benefits and limitations.

Seychelles NATION: What is Nano Microblading?

Anisa Rose: Nano Microblading uses the latest ‘nano technology’ to create ultra-fine channels in the skin in which we implant pigment to simulate beautiful, natural-looking hair strokes. Nano Microblading can replace hair where you have lost it and is very popular at the moment.

Seychelles NATION: You mentioned having trained with an expert; tell us more about this.

Anisa Rose: I have trained with Liarna Jessica Yearwood, based in London, UK. She has clinics in Chelsea Bridge and on the well-renowned Harley Street in London.

She has been in the industry for over 10 years and has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, like Karen Betts and Tracie Giles.

While in the UK from May till August this year, I decided to add Eyelash Extension to my ever-growing business. I received my certificate from the London Beauty Academy.

Eyelashes have become one of the biggest trends in the beauty industry; from Classic Lash which consists of synthetic to one natural lash, covering 90% of the lashes. There’s the Volume Lash, which is the fuller set; fans are created to using 3 to 5 synthetic lashes to one natural lash, creating a fluffy look with maximum volume. There’s also Hybrid Lash which is a mix of Volume and Classic Lashes.

Seychelles NATION: What are the benefits of these services for your clients?

Anisa Rose: I am introducing Nano Microblading and Classic, as well as Volume Lashes, because taking care of yourself should be your biggest priority; it’s about having that extra boost in your self-esteem.

Ladies, we all work in one way or another, we all have things to get done, so opting for Nano Microblading and having your lashes done:

  1. Saves you an enormous amount of time, either in the morning or when going out
  2. Means you wake up looking fabulous every day and looking fabulous means you feel fabulous
  3. Is a great investment; as far as I know, lashes are becoming a huge trend in the Seychelles

Microblading has given many clients confidence in their appearance again after many years of managing the effects of hair loss. Treating clients that have suffered from alopecia or cancer is particularly rewarding for me.

It is also ideal for those whose eyebrows have stopped growing due to too much waxing in the past or those who have ‘rounded’ shaped eyebrows from another eyebrow technician.

Seychelles NATION: Are there any limitations with Microblading that people need to be aware of?

Anisa Rose: Microblading can last up to 5 years with a very strong pigment. However, while tattoos go through 4 layers of the skin, Microblading goes through 2 layers, therefore making it fade away over time. (Nano Microblading can sometimes be mistaken for eyebrow tattoos).

As we know, Seychelles is a very humid country; we have the beach, sun and sea, therefore making it easier for it to fade away.

So my trainer and I decided to do my eyebrows to be like a walking experiment; I myself am a subject of Microblading. My trainer did my eyebrows and told me to do everything I would normally do and more, to see how long it lasts.

On the other hand however, using a tattoo machine, the tattoo goes to 4 layers of your skin, whereas the blading goes to 2 layers, meaning that it will eventually fade away which is great because eyebrows change shape with time.

Seychelles NATION: How can those interested avail of your services?

Anisa Rose: I will offer my services for an everyday look and for special occasions. Since as the festive season is approaching, my team will focus on makeovers.

For those interested, I offer my services 6 days a week at Ste Claire building, Victoria. I also offer Bridal services to both local and overseas brides and I travel to wherever the brides are on the day.

I have created ‘The Glam Team Seychelles’ which offers makeovers to all. We also have a hairstylist who has been in the industry for years. Our team is also based at Ste Claire building, 2nd Floor, Room 36-37.
