Protecting Seychelles' borders in a post-Covid world   |12 December 2022

The government has removed all the restrictions around Covid-19 travels as of December 1. Travellers are no longer required to upload their vaccination status or test results when travelling to Seychelles. They will still need to complete pre-travel immigration forms to ensure paperless processing on arrival, as per the law.

What does this mean for Travizory? We will continue to assist the government to enhance border security and digitize immigration processes. As the technology provider, we implement all the policies and changes as directed by the government. We are proud that our system helped the government go digital on both arrival and departure following the launch of the digital Embarkation Information Form last month. And now we look beyond Covid and will continue to help Seychelles mitigate security threats at the border.

In fact, Seychelles’ system is at the forefront of the digital traveller experience. According to the Global Passenger Survey (GPS) by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the demand for innovative digital solutions is growing, and travellers now prefer to handle immigration procedures before arriving at the airport. In simpler terms, they want to get out of the airport as quickly as possible, and we are making this happen in Seychelles!

This change in traveller trends confirms that Seychelles is on the right track, and we are happy to be part of the journey.
