Katiti Seychelles Modelling Agency to represent Seychelles

Twenty (20) Katiti Seychelles models will be representing Seychelles at the 6th Accra Fashion Week from December 7 – 11, 2022 in Accra, Ghana.

The delegation, who left Seychelles yesterday on board an Ethiopian Airline flight, is being accompanied by two local designers – Johanna Didon for Katiti Seychelles and Usna John Labrosse for OJZ Seychelles – and two other members of the Katiti Seychelles management team.

The week-long fashion event to be held at Circle Dubai under the theme ‘Africa Forever’ is expected to be a well-attended event that, according to the organizers, will see the attendance of dignitaries, some celebrities and main figures in the fashion industry.

The two main fashion shows will take place on Saturday December 10 and Sunday December 11 respectively with OJZ Seychelles showcasing her designs on Saturday while Katiti Seychelles will be in the closing show on Sunday.

Apart from Ghanaian designers, Nigeria, South Africa, USA, Senegal, Uganda, Mali, Namibia and Germany are also being represented at the event.

Earlier in the week, there will be a Meet the Designer activity for the opening night on Wednesday December 7. There will be a fashion photography and art exhibition on Thursday December 8 and an African Fashion Summit on Friday December 9.

Katiti Seychelles is thankful to the department of Tourism, which has sponsored two tickets for the delegation. However, since most of the potential sponsors have remained unresponsive so far, the agency is grateful to all its models and their family members who have raised the necessary funds for their own airfares and accommodation, as without their commitment the participation of the agency in the event will not have materialised.

Katiti Seychelles would greatly appreciate the support of the local media to give some publicity on this upcoming event, which will definitely be a great promotional opportunity for Seychelles.
