Air Seychelles wins numerous accolades at 29th annual World Travel Awards |17 November 2022

Air Seychelles has won four major awards, including the most coveted title of ‘Indian Ocean’s Leading Airline’ at this year’s World Travel Awards inaugural Indian Ocean Winners Day, recently held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi.

Seychelles’ national airline was also recognised as the ‘Indian Ocean's Leading Airline – Business Class 2022’, the ‘Indian Ocean's Leading Cabin Crew 2022’, and the 'Indian Ocean's Leading Airline Lounge 2022’.

The World Travel Awards, established in 1993, acknowledges, rewards, and celebrates excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries and is recognised globally as the ultimate hallmark of industry excellence.

The awards reflect the Air Seychelles family's hard work, dedication, and diligence. It is with great privilege and honour that we accept such awards as they attest to our passion for providing all our guests with an overall sensational journey.

The airline’s acting chief executive, Sandy Benoiton, said: “Air Seychelles takes great pride in offering the best customer service throughout the business. 2022 has seen the re-emergence of travel on our network, and we couldn’t be more proud of once again receiving recognition from the travelling public for our service and product delivered.”

This year marks Air Seychelles’ 45th anniversary, an important milestone highlighting the airline’s journey of resilience and success throughout the years. The company recently announced its exit from voluntary administration and has chartered a path to profitability under the ownership of the government of Seychelles.
