Retired teachers from Glacis acknowledged by their MNA |13 October 2022

A souvenir photograph to mark the occasion

Retired teachers from the district of Glacis were called in and acknowledged by their member of the National Assembly, Regina Esparon, in collaboration with district administrator Kenneth Pierre last Friday at the Glacis community centre.

Some 40 retired teachers were invited and Mrs Esparon seized the opportunity to invite the chairperson of the Seychelles Association of Retired Education Professionals (SAREP) Jeanne Simeon to meet and help to keep them together.

Hon. Esparon shared that “unfortunately there is not enough recognition for retired teachers and after talking to some of them, together with the DA, we decided to bring them together. Many could not make it on that day due to illness. Now together with the teachers, we will go visit them with their gift.”

MNA Esparon gifted each retired teacher a photo frame with a message. The small group had a great time chatting and getting to know each other.
