MCB joins Eco-Friendly committee to support Praslin school project

Once again, the Mauritian Commercial Bank has joined forces with the Eco-Friendly committee, this time in hosting the Praslin Eco-Friendly Run, scheduled to take place on Saturday September 21.

The race will start at 3pm next to the swimming pool on Ile Eve and there will be different distances –1km, 5km and 10km.

The 1km race which will start at the swimming pool to the main Baie Ste Anne road and back will start at 3pm, while the 5km and 10km races will both start together at 3.15pm and from the start, the runners will go towards Côte d’Or.

The 5km runners will turn just before ex-Tante Mimi whereas the 10km contestants will turn at Bonjour, Côte d’Or and head back.

The deadline for registration is Wednesday September 18 and forms can be collected from the Eco-Friendly marathon’s office at Oceangate House, the sports offices on Praslin and La Digue.

Registration fees are as follows – 1km - R10; 5km – (under-18 – R20 and over-18 – R50); 10km – (under-18 – R25 over-18 – R50).

Cat Cocos is also supporting the run and is offering runners a special rate of R315 return per head in the Coco De Mer cabin. Runners must provide proof of their participation to benefit from the offer.

You are all invited to the run. All money raised through registration will be matched by MCB for a special school project on Praslin.
