Paradise FM’s Chart Attack |26 September 2022

Lakle stays number one as Daniel dominates final 2022 line-up

The Chart Attack season 2022 came to an end last week with new kid on the block Daniel taking the top three places, placing him in a good position for top prizes during the SBC's Paradise FM Awards 2022.

Before the chart show resumes this week with the results to be announced on Sunday October 2 to kick off the Chart Attack season 2023, Daniel’s latest song Lakle extended its stay at number one to eight consecutive weeks, the same number of weeks it has spent on the 2022 show.

After it dropped to number five the previous week, Drive finished at number two in Sunday’s chart show presented by Oriji. The song has spent nine weeks at number one and has been on the chart for 21 weeks.

A third song by Daniel, Zistans, gained one place from fourth to third and it has been on the chart for 16 weeks with its best position being number two.

With Daniel making a clean sweep of the podium places, SS Gang’s Ou’n Detri Li has lost two places from second to fourth, while Gatto’s Reste Lwen has also dropped two spots from third to fifth weeks after it had shot to number one for a week.

Number one for six of the 23 weeks spent on the chart, Julia’s Pa Sa Enn was one of four re-entries last week at number six and this coincided with the start of the local Reggae dancehall queen’s album tour.

Having previously reached number two, Lenerzi Mazikal by Cus Mum made a comeback at number seven, making it 10 weeks on the chart.

At number eight was Rezon (On & Off) by Jahkim which was also a re-entry in its 14th week on the show and a best placing at number six this past season.

It surely has been a good week for Daniel as his first song Leson featuring Auspicious and which had spent four weeks at number one, completed the list of re-entries last week at number nine in its 20th week on the chart.

Having achieved a best finish at number five, Mon Letan by Farhine closed the ranking at number 10, a place lower than its previous week’s standing at number nine.
