Basketball Beau Vallon Heat receive new kit from Optimum Sports |27 July 2022
For the second half of the season, Beau Vallon Heat, including players, coaches, management team and fans will be flaunting new attires, after receiving new kits courtesy of Optimum Sports.
The kits were handed over to vice-chairman Riard Balette by local brand representative for Optimum Sports, Captain Luke Fonseka, during a small ceremony on Monday at the team’s home court at Beau Vallon, in the presence of players, and coaches.
The batch include three sets of uniforms, one set of warm-up t-shirts, 12 polo shirts for the management team and 28 t-shirts for the fans.
Accepting the kit, Mr Balette thanked Optimum Sports for the gesture which he described as a speedy response to the team’s need, getting the uniform ready for the second round of the league.
He thanked Mr Fonseka for being instrumental in his approach towards the team and expressed his wish to further stretch the relationship in the future.
Mr Balette also mentioned the involvement of the whole team in the concept of the design of the new uniforms.
Mr Fonseka explained that South Africa-based Optimum brand is keen on establishing locally, with the local rugby association being the trailblazers of the brand which is now in negotiations with other clubs for promotions.
He said the goal is to have the whole basketball league wearing Optimum which will lead to the company sponsoring the league.
