Indian Association of Seychelles re-elects management committee |28 June 2022
The Indian Association of Seychelles has re-elected its management committee to continue to serve for the next two years. This was during its annual general meeting held recently at the Roche Caïman community centre.
The management committee for the year 2022 to 2023 will still be chaired by Jamshed Pardiwalla, the vice-chairman is Surya Khanna, secretary A.K. Singh, treasurer Vijay Pandya, while Arup Das, Ragul Pillay and Premila Hirani are the ordinary members. The latter is the only new addition to the team.
The Indian Association of Seychelles (IAS) is a broad and diverse non-partisan association of community members. Its objective is to foster goodwill, understanding and good fellowship among members of the association and the community as a whole.
During the meeting on behalf of the management committee, IAS chairperson Pardiwalla reported on the activities of the association during the year 2019-2021. A number of planned social and community activities could not be undertaken due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.
The meeting also approved the actions of the management committee for the year 2019-2020.
