CBS governor presents 2021 report to National Assembly speaker   

Governor Abel presents Mr Mancienne with a copy of the CBS annual report in the presence of deputy Speaker Henrie and Ms Faure

The governor of the Central Bank of Seychelles, Caroline Abel, this week presented a copy of the bank’s annual report for 2021 to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Roger Mancienne.

This was at his office at Ile Du Port and it was in the presence of deputy Speaker Hon. Gervais Henrie and the Deputy Clerk Alexandria Faure.

During the short exchange between the two leaders, Ms Abel explained the different approaches the Central Bank of Seychelles (CBS) had taken to face the Covid -19 situation.

She also briefed Speaker Mancienne on the current economic situation of the country and the importance for the Central Bank of Seychelles to work more closely with the National Assembly.

Upon accepting the report Speaker Mancienne expressed his gratitude towards Governor Abel and the CBS for making available the report which will guide the parliamentarians in their work and also put in perspective the financial situation of the country.

Furthermore, the report of the CBS helps to educate the whole population about the economic situation of the country.

Speaker Mancienne took the opportunity to thank Ms Abel for the continuous effort and tremendous work being carried out by the CBS and looks forward to a continued good working relationship between the two important institutions in the country.
