Closure of schools third term 2021 |26 November 2021
The Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Public Health Authority would like to inform the general public that due to a number of Covid-19 cases reported at schools, the following decisions have been taken with regards to gradual closure of schools:
- In view of end of year examinations schools will be closed as and when the different groups of students complete their exams.
- Schools will inform parents of the different groups of students and the date they complete their exams during the course of this week and next week.
- The final examinations will take place on Thursday December 2, after which schools will be officially closed for the holidays.
- Arrangements have been made with SPTC for transportation of students at 1.15pm on December 2 instead of 2.30pm.
- Crèche pupils can remain on campus until December 2.
Private schools
Independent School:
- K1-S3 and S5 – will be going on a holiday on Friday November 26
- S4 - will be at school during the week of November 29 – December 3 for exams
- A-Level students – will be doing remote learning
International School Seychelles (ISS), Vijay International and Ecole Française:
- They will maintain their school calendar
- School will end on December 17 and will resume on January 10, 2022
- If the situation worsens, they will re-adjust their school calendar accordingly
