Mrs Linda Lusta, better known as Miss Linda, joined the Ministry of Education as a

Supply Teacher on August 30, 1989 and remained as such until December 31, 1999. She spent the first decade of her teaching experience /career at Beau Vallon primary.

Miss Linda was admitted at NIE as a student in January 2000. She successfully completed a three-year teaching course in December 2003 obtaining a Diploma in Education – Primary. Following her training she was posted at Bel Ombre primary school.

Miss Linda was transferred to La Rosière primary school as the acting subject coordinator in January 2007.

In January 2010 she was promoted to subject coordinator and went back to Bel Ombre primary school. Miss Linda worked at the same school and in the same post until January 14, 2020.

On January 15, 2020, Miss Linda was promoted to the post of deputy head teacher of studies and student support and remained in post until April 30, 2021.

Unfortunately, because of ill health it was recommended that she takes premature retirement on medical grounds.

Sadly Miss Linda passed away on Thursday August 5, 2021 after serving the ministry for 32 years. Miss Linda will be sadly missed by staff, pupils and every member of the school community who knew her. The Ministry of Education extends its appreciation to Miss Linda for the long years of dedicated service rendered to the Ministry of Education and expresses its sincere condolences to Miss Linda’s family.
