Local swimmers battle in 30 events over three days
The Seychelles Swimming Association organised its National Open Championship last weekend at the Roche Caïman pools, gathering swimmers from various local clubs who battled in 30 different events over three days.
Mahe Skimmers, Aquafins and Aquatic swimming clubs were represented, while some swimmers competed independently.
Khema Elizabeth was the female swimmer with the highest Fédération internationale de natation (Fina) points at the championship after completing the 50m freestyle race in 28.37 seconds, earning her 580 points.
In the male category it was Mathieu Bachmann who earned the highest points – 671 – after completing the 100m freestyle in 57.3 seconds.
