Diageo and Seychelles Breweries celebrate INC Week |27 September 2021

This year marks our 5th annual Inclusion and Diversity Week at Diageo, which sees us uniting to champion inclusion, celebrate diversity and challenge our way of thinking. The Covid-19 pandemic has accentuated the gender inequities in society and there has been a global call for action on anti-racism following the Black Lives Matter movement. Mental health and wellbeing are at the forefront of our minds due to restrictive changes in how we navigate life both in and out of the workplace.

While we continue to solely operate in a virtual world of work – regardless of the pandemic pressures and their impact, we continue to celebrate life, celebrate each other, and most importantly, celebrate the differences that make us who we are.

Globally, there is a fantastic line-up of events taking place throughout the week on Diageo’s online platform, Mosaic. Employees of Seychelles Breweries are also able to participate in the online events if they so wish. The events focus on a wide range of topics such as Unleashing Spirit Women, Defeating audism: how can deaf employees achieve, How to create a space for LGBT + children, Disability Etiquette & Inclusion, the Power of Sleep and mindfulness, Mental Health Pathways and Inclusive Leadership to mention a few.

Additionally, locally Seychelles Breweries has organised a series for its employees which includes a KYC (Know Your Colleagues) Bingo, talks on Mental Wellbeing and Disability, Zumba session, speed dating and massage and spas. The activities have been organised within the recommended guidelines for Covid-19.

Seychelles Breweries is also taking the opportunity to generate awareness on Inclusion & Diversity by featuring spots and adverts in the local media.
