30th anniversary of museum activities Eradication of ‘fouwatouk’ at Nature walk to Tea Tavern Glacis |28 August 2021

In collaboration with the Bel Eau primary school, museum staff and other participants teamed up to start a project to eradicate the ‘fouwatouk’ at the Nature walk to Tea Tavern Glacis.
This activity forms part of the 30th anniversary of museum education activities.
Nicole Barreau from the National Museum and coordinator of this project noted that the “aim was to clear the trail and eradicate the fouwatouk that are along this trail. This was done in partnership with the Seychelles National Parks Authority. The students from the Bel Eau school were looking forward for such an activity and they enjoyed their time in caring for the environment and also learn about the different places while being on top of the glacis”.
This activity concluded the week’s event organised by the National museum.
