CaranaBeach Hotel in recruitment drive |20 November 2015
CaranaBeach Hotel, with its 40 chalets overlooking one of Mahé’s most dramatically picturesque beaches, will establish a new boutique Seychelles accommodation in February 2016.
The hotel, located where Carana beach chalets used to be, is now owned by Kathleen and Mickey Mason, the owners of Mason’s Travel Services who also own Indian Ocean Lodge on Praslin and Denis Island Private.
In their search for dynamic and passionate Seychellois staff, they have visited various district administration offices including Glacis and St Louis and English River. They will go to Bel Air, Anse Etoile and Bel Ombre on November 23, 24 and 26 respectively.
On Wednesday evening they were also at Bazar Labrin, Beau Vallon.
Operation manager of Mason’s group Marlon Naiken, general manager Cyril Carofano and Patricia Rosette from human resource led the presentations about the hotel, the concept, an overview of the site, the philosophy, the human resources part of recruitment.
There is vacancy for 80 candidates in all notable areas of the hospitality industry and they are hoping to be training the staff in mid January.
The tag line for this human resources recruitment drive has been ‘Will you be there?’ as they are focused on employing Seychellois staff.
Like many other hotels of its category, CaranaBeach will also offer luxurious service and contemporary décor, but where it will differentiate itself from the rest is that it will ensure that their guests receive an authentic Seychellois experience and service. This is its philosophy.
The hotel is providing this opportunity for people living in north Mahé so that it is easier to balance their work life with their social and family life.
The tourism sector remains one of the biggest sources of employment and this is your chance to meet management and find out more potential career opportunities at CaranaBeach.
The communications manager Nicole St Ange said there has been a good response following the meetings so far and they are still hoping for better turn- outs as there is another week to go.
