Football - ISPC, Furniture Cave show support to Au Cap FC |21 March 2018

For the fourth consecutive year, ISPC remains Au Cap FC’s main sponsor.

This was confirmed at a ceremony on Friday evening at the Au Cap playing field when ISPC chief executive (CEO) Alfred Fourcroy met players of the team who have been promoted to the first division, coach Roger Labonté and vice-chairman Nichol Dogley.

During the ceremony, Mr Fourcroy gave the team a new set of uniform along with other equipment which all add up to around R300,000.

“It has been a pleasure to support Au Cap FC for the last four years. By sponsoring them we show our support and involvement in sports and giving in such a way I think motivates the players on the pitch. Of course you have seen over the years that the team have been performing well, making it to the first division. Our finance helps to provide the team with equipment and as a former athlete myself, I know how to help the players move forward,” stated Mr Fourcroy.

Since the team have been finding the going tough and lost their first two matches, coach Labonté explained how the sponsorship will help them and what the first division means to them.

“The sponsorship motivates us. It motivates the players because they will have the equipment that will up their standard and it helps. They can now focus on their game. If only other companies could help sports, not just football, but every other sports, we will notice that the standard of play will improve. Our aim this season is to stay in the first division and after our first two games, we’ve seen that the first division is a whole new challenge, so slowly we’ll get there,” said coach Labonté.

Meanwhile, Furniture Cave has also sponsored the team.

The Furniture Cave management stated that they have always followed Au Cap FC with great interest and they will always be there to support the team in the future.

Team vice-president Nichol Dogley wished the players luck in their first division and the challenges that lie ahead.
